Just a quick note that the post with this year's schedule noted the wrong date for when drafts are due.

It has arrived!


The posting schedue for all your goodies is here.

Fanworks will be posted from Monday, November 4 - Thursday, November 28, with an amnesty day on Friday, November 29. The amnesty day is just in case ... for people who miss their posting date to finish out their fanworks and still get it in Round 10.

And don't forget that drafts are due Monday Sept 16 @ 12:01 am (in your corner of the world). For more info on draft requirements and submitting drafts: Draft Info.

Now that you have all claimed movies, hopefully you're all getting on with the creating! Here is some information regarding draft submissions. Feel free to leave a question here or send it to our email.

Just as in the past, we're welcoming drafts as early as you like and all are accepted up until 12:01 am on Monday September 16 to the cinema_mod's email. All other information is below the cut. Here is all you need to know about claims! On Saturday, July 27, 2019, claims will open at 10am CST. For those who need a refresher, or are totally new to our challenge, see the info below the cut to prepare you for claims.

We promise that claims made will be honored in the order they are made based on each comment's timestamp on the post. If there are issues with spam comments, we will manage them as they arise. Overall, though, remember this is challenge is all meant in fun. We have always had great participation and only on the RAREST of occasions have there been issues with people not getting the movie they wanted.

Welcome back for our TENTH! YEAR! OF! CINEMA!

For those who are new to the community (or just like a refresher) ...

What is spn_cinema?
An SPN/RPF challenge films ~inspire~ and serve as the basis for new fanworks.

What fanworks are allowed?
The term fanworks is used to cover the spectrum of all mediums allowed in this challenge, including fics, art, and audio. For the purposes of this challenge, art refers to all illustrated files, manips, graphics, videos, etc., and audio refers to podfic and fanmixes. Your fanwork(s) can be a completely new creation or even a dusty, ole work in progress you pick up for this challenge, so long as the fanwork(s) have not been posted elsewhere - meaning: you will be posting your fanwork(s) for the first time on your scheduled posting date.

Who can participate
All creators are welcome! Authors, artists, podficcers, fanmixers can sign up. Don't have an LJ? No problem! We will continue to keep the comm open to anonymous commenting for claims and questions, you can post your work to any platform you prefer (LJ, AO3, tumblr, etc.), and we will work with you to get your pieces posted to the comm on your posting date.
